JET, a scheme set up by the Japanese Government to improve foreign language teaching in schools and promote international understanding, is in its 22nd year of graduate exchange and will be accepting applications for next year’s positions between October and November.
If he gets onto the programme, Daniel will be fulfilling a life-long dream of living and working in Japan.

I worked on this programme from 1998-2001. My brother did the same from 2001-2004. Highly recommended and good for people with some self-initiative to find a niche for themselves where the competition might be too great here. Non-Japanese stand out in Japan and it can lead to good experiences and opportunities which you can then build on when you eventually return back to the UK.
