A lot of the news we get starts off with reports from think tanks. In keeping with its public service remit, the BBC is always keen to describe these organisations in clear terms.
On Tuesday morning, for example, the Today programme carried a story that featured Demos
The presenter duly explained that Demos was a ‘think tank’.
This morning, the programme featured Politeia
And the presenter told us – helpfully – that Politeia was a ‘right-of-centre think tank’.
So we’re clear on that, then?
